1. Who this is

Origin Reverie Online is a classic fantasy MMORPG: a game server, the iPhone and Android clients that connect to it, and this website. In this policy “we” means the people who run it.

For anything here, including a request to delete your data, write to labosweigibbor@gmail.com.

2. If you ask for a beta invitation

The form on this site takes your email address, which platform you chose, your consent and the time you gave it. That is the whole of it. We use it to send you a beta invitation and Open Beta news, and for nothing else.

Requests are kept in a private spreadsheet only the team can open. We do not display your address, we do not sell it, and asking is not an invitation — it is a place in the queue. Reply to any beta email from us, or write to the address above, and we will take you off the list.

3. What the game app collects on your device

Nothing. The app’s privacy manifest, which Apple publishes on the App Store listing, declares no collected data types and no tracking. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK and no attribution SDK in the build.

The app does write files on your own device — your settings, where you dragged your windows to, and a cache of the game’s art so it need not be downloaded twice. Those stay on your device, and deleting the app deletes them.

4. What we hold when you play

An online game keeps your progress on its server. That is the only reason any of this exists.

Your account
An account number and a login name; whether you set a PIN, how many character slots you have, and whether the account is restricted.
How you sign in
When you last signed in, how many times you have, and the IP address you last signed in from. The server software records these as part of running an account.
Your characters
Their names, appearance, level, stats, where they stand in the world, inventory and storage, zeny, skills, quests, and any party or guild they belong to.
What you send to other players
Chat, trades, party and guild activity, mail and shop listings pass through the server so other players receive them. Messages may be kept for a time so that reports of harassment or cheating can be looked into.

We do not ask for your real name, your address, your phone number or your payment details, and the game does not read your contacts, your photos, your location or your microphone.

5. Sign in with Apple, and Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Apple or with Google, your phone sends us a signed token from them. We check that signature against Apple’s or Google’s own published keys, and we keep three things: which provider it was, the identifier that provider gave us for you, and the game account it belongs to.

That identifier is specific to this app — Apple and Google issue a different one to every app, so it cannot be used to find you anywhere else. We do not store your name and we do not store your email address. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, nothing changes for us: we never had the address either way.

On your first sign-in we create a game account with a login name and a password that are generated, never shown, and never typed by you. Your phone remembers them.

6. Who else touches it

The service runs on a virtual server we rent. The game’s art and music are delivered through Cloudflare, which caches those files and therefore sees the request, including your IP address. Beta requests are written to a private Google spreadsheet. Both act for us and under contract, and neither is given your characters.

Apple and Google are involved at the moment you sign in, in the way described above, and they distribute the apps. Beyond those, we share nothing with anyone. We do not sell data, we do not trade it, and there is no advertising network in this game.

7. How long we keep it

Your account and characters stay for as long as the account exists, because that is what you come back to. Sign-in records, including the last IP address, are kept while the account is active and are what an abuse report is checked against. Chat kept for moderation is kept for a limited period and then discarded. Beta requests are kept until the Open Beta ends or you ask to be removed.

When you ask us to delete your account, we delete the account, its characters and its sign-in link. Backups roll over on their own schedule, so a copy may survive in one for a short while after that before it too is gone.

8. What you can ask for

Write to labosweigibbor@gmail.com from the address you signed up with, or from inside the game, and say what you want. We answer within 30 days, and there is no charge.

Deleting the app does not delete your account — the account lives on the server, not on your phone. Ask us, and it is gone.

9. Children

This game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and we will remove it.

10. Keeping it safe

Everything between your device and us travels over TLS. Passwords are never shown to you or kept in the app in plain sight, and the server is reachable only by the people who run it. No service can promise perfect security and we will not pretend otherwise; what we can promise is that we hold as little as a game can be run on.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a substantial change will be announced in the game and on this site. Continuing to play after that means the new version applies.
